The document proposes a Twitter food drive where a local food bank creates a Twitter feed to ask for virtual donations from the public. Donors can make a virtual donation through a retweet or by pledging on the food bank's website to donate canned goods from their pantry. This simplifies how people can help address hunger in their community in an easy way by getting involved in the food drive through Twitter.

needs to be easy to help. How about a Twitter food drive?
The local food bank can start their own Twitter feed. At certain times throughout the
year they ask for virtual donations via their Twitter feed. Those who make a virtual
donation do so as a retweet, or by going to the food banks website and making the
virtual donation. The virtual donation is a promise saying I will do my part to address
hunger during the food banks Twitter food drive. The promise can be as simple as
taking the cans out of your pantry and giving them to the food bank. It’s an easy way
to get people involved.
