What do I believe?
I believe that we live in an exciting time and that our law is reflective of those
circumstances. It is more than just a system of rules, by which we abide; it is both an
expression of our society’s culture and a vehicle for change. Thus the law can never
be stagnant but it must continuously evolve in order to reflect the fluid nature of
society.
What Contribution do I make to the Organization I am part of?
My education at Rhodes University has helped foster my research and writing skills
but that is not what makes a unique candidate. I believe my experience as a waiter
and a bartender has prepared me for the challenge of dealing with attorneys and
clients with diverse backgrounds and goals. I learnt how to deal with difficult and
demanding clients while also developing an appreciation for the need for co-
operation between myself, my colleagues and my superiors. Additionally being part
of such a large organisation I learnt the importance of furthering my employer’s goals
and fostering a customer-friendly image.
