Aalok is a member of APM’s Thames Valley Regional Network and also speaks to members of APM’s PMO Interest Network, which aims to facilitate collaboration and learning, offer unbiased advice and guidance.
Tonight, Aalok planned to discuss the importance of a PMO within project-based organisations, the different types of PMO and their key elements, PMO governance and centres of excellence.
PMO’s within an organisation can be centralised, hub and spoke with a central PMO with satellite PMOs globally, or embedded within projects. The appropriate structure will be determined by the specific business needs of the organisation. The PMO sits above PM delivery and the supply chain delivery teams.

Nosferatu (1922) • Vampires in this film are represented as having dark eyes, prominent features and rodent – like fangs. • He lives in his sinister, deserted castle within the shadows of the Carpathian Mountains in Transylvania. • Due to his obsessive love of Ellen Hutter, Count Orlok is too distracted by either her, attractiveness or warm blood in her veins, or maybe even both. Due to this, he fails to see the open window with the morning light gushing in. • Count Orlok has strong connections to wolfs, or dogs, similar to that of the novel of which Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror was based up on. • Nosferatu is the classic representation of the vampire in aspects such as incapability to be out in daylight, ambiguous appearances and the desire to gorge upon the blood of living humans. - The character of Count Orlok also represents the demonic and diseased nature of the vampire.

Horror of Dracula (1958) • The Dracula is represented in a more human way, as apart from his fangs, he takes the form of a normal person. • Dracula is presented as being very sexual • This interpretation of the Count is both charismatic and terrifying, as his screen presence is so strong. • The film uses liberal amount of gore and sexual aspects to capture the attention of viewer and censor alike. • The Dracula in this representation is shown to dress in a smart attire, which portrays to the audience that he is important.

Dracula (1992) • Dracula was a skilled warrior and member of the Sacred Order of the Dragon. • While fighting the Turks, his bride Elizabeta believed Dracula to be dead and therefore, killed herself. • Dracula returned home to find his bride dead and then rejected God, drinking the blood of Jesus Christ and from that point on, Dracula was a vampire. • Dracula now resides in a collapsing castle in the Carpathian Mountains. • Beneath a layer of aristocratic charm, the count possesses a dark and evil soul. • He can take on the form of an animal, control the weather, and he is stronger than twenty men. • Old superstitions were, in this era, seen by the vast majority as fictitious. Also, due to the widespread availability of contraceptives, sexuality was generally more publically discussable and accepted. • The large number of intimate scenes throughout the film presented vampires as sexual beings.

Twilight (2008-12) • Primary supernatural creatures of the Twilight universe • Immortal beings who feed and survive on the blood of humans or animals. • Their skin is flawless and textured with a marble-like substance much harder and stronger than granite. • When exposed to sunlight, their body sparkles, unlike the previous vampires in the other movies. • They possess superhuman powers e.g. Speed and strength • They have incredible senses and can hear for miles and see in darkness.
