Fairfood International is a nonprofit organization founded in 2002 that works to promote sustainable and fair trade products. It has over 30 paid employees and 60 unpaid volunteers working out of offices in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Brussels. The organization takes a holistic approach to sustainability focusing on social, environmental, and economic factors. Its goal is to educate consumers and work with over 1,000 global companies to implement more sustainable and fair trade practices through cooperation between civic groups, politicians, media, and citizens. Some of Fairfood International's successes include getting corporate social responsibility on the agenda of many large companies and gaining broad political support for its initiatives.
