Ziel ist es, 旦ffentliche und private Organisationen bei der St辰rkung gesundheitsbezogener Angebote zu unterst端tzen und das Potenzial f端r Gesch辰ftsm旦glichkeiten im Freizeit- und Tourismussektor zu erschlieen. Der WELDEST-Ansatz f旦rdert interdisziplin辰res Lernen und bietet praktische Werkzeuge f端r das nachhaltige Management von Gesundheits- und Wellnessregionen.
The WelDest project combines expertise from 5 higher education institutes and 10 industry partners from 5 European countries to research health and well-being tourism. Both primary and secondary research will be conducted to identify knowledge needs, services, resources, staff competencies, and elements of health and well-being tourism appreciated by tourists and locals. The project will develop an electronic handbook and self-assessment tool to help public and private organizations strengthen their health and well-being offerings and an online blog to share knowledge.

WelDest will outline the
key service supply, re-

book, including a self-assessment and development
tool, to be used by public and private bodies developing
their businesses and destinations. b) a blog providing in-
dustry, academia and citizens with new opportunities to
improve and share their knowledge on H&WB and tou-
rism related issues.

lized by destinations in their development process.

Aims
The aim of WelDest is to create a development frame-
work to be used by public bodies, destination manage-
ment organizations (DMOs) and private companies at
tourism destinations willing to strengthen the elements
in鍖uencing the well-being level of tourists and locals
alike. The framework, supported by educational mate-
rial, enables development of the tourism destination to-
wards a more holistic and sustainable Health and Well-
Being (H&WB) destination.
