- 2. 1.Kelompok sosial adalah kumpulan orang yang memiliki kesadaran bersama akan keanggotaan dan saling berinteraksi. Kelompok diciptakan oleh anggota masyarakat. Kelompok juga dapat mempengaruhi perilaku para anggotanya. Kelompok-kelompok sosial merupakan himpunan manusia yang saling hidup bersama dan menjalani saling ketergantungan dengan sadar dan tolong menolong (R.M. Macler & Charles H. Page: Society, An Introductory Analysis, Macmillan & Co.Ltd., London, 1961: 213). 2.Kelompok sosial atau social group adalah himpunan atau kesatuan manusia yang hidup bersama, karena adanya hubungan di antara mereka. Hubungan tersebut antara lain menyangkut hubungan timbal balik yang saling mempengaruhi dan juga suatu kesadaran untuk saling menolong (Soejono Soekanto, 2006:104). Pengertian Kelompok Sosial

Terdapat suatu faktor yang dimiliki bersama oleh anggota- anggota kelompok itu, sehingga hubungan antara mereka bertambah erat. Faktor tadi dapat merupakan nasib yang sama, kepentingan yang sama, tujuan yang sama, ideologi politik yang sama dan lain-lain. d. Berstruktur, berkaidah dan mempunyai pola perilaku.

Contohnya, istilah kita atau kami menunjukkan adanya artikulasi in group, sedangkan mereka berartikulasi out group. Perasaan in group atau out group didasari dengan suatu sikap yang dinamakan etnosentris, yaitu adanya anggapan bahwa kebiasaan dalam kelompoknya merupakan yang terbaik dibandingkan dengan kelompok lainnya. Sikap in group dan out group dapat dilihat dari kelainan berwujud antagonisme atau antipati. Sikap in group dan out group merupakan dasar sikap etnosentrisme yang merupakan sikap bahwa setiap sesuatu yang merupakan produk kelompoknya dianggap paling baik dan benar. Charles Horton Cooley mengemukakan tentang kelompok primer (primary group) atau face to face group merupakan kelompok sosial yang paling sederhana, di mana para anggota-anggotanya saling mengenal, di mana ada kerja sama yang erat. Contohnya, keluarga, kelompok bermain, dan lain-lain. Kelompok sekunder (secondary group) ialah kelompok yang terdiri dari banyak orang, bersama siapa hubungannya tidak perlu berdasarkan pengenalan secara pribadi dan sifatnya tidak begitu langgeng, contohnya, hubungan kontrak jual beli. d. Kelompok Primer dan Kelompok Sekunder

Paguyuban dan Patembayan Tonnies dan Loomis menyatakan bahwa paguyuban (gemeinschaft) ialah bentuk kehidupan bersama, di mana para anggota-anggotanya diikat oleh hubungan batin yang murni dan bersifat alamiah serta kekal, dasar hubungan tersebut adalah rasa cinta dan rasa persatuan batin yang memang telah dikodratkan. Hubungan seperti ini dapat dijumpai dalam keluarga, kelompok kekeluargaan, rukun tetangga, dan lain-lain. Patembayan (gesellschaft) yaitu berupa ikatan lahir yang bersifat pokok untuk jangka waktu yang pendek, bersifat imajiner dan strukturnya bersifat mekanis sebagaimana terdapat dalam mesin. Ia bersifat sebagai suatu bentuk dalam pikiran belaka. Contohnya, ikatan antar pedagang, organisasi dalam suatu pabrik, dan lain-lain.
- 11. f. Formal Group dan Informal Group J.A.A. Van Doorn membedakan kelompok formal dan informal. Formal group ialah kelompok yang mempunyai peraturan tegas dan sengaja diciptakan oleh anggota-anggotanya untuk mengatur hubungan antara sesama, contohnya, organisasi. Informal group tidak mempunyai struktur dan organisasi tertentu atau yang pasti. Kelompok-kelompok tersebut biasanya terbentuk karena pertemuan-pertemuan yang berulang kali, yang menjadi dasar pertemuan, kepentingan-kepentingan dan pengalaman-pengalaman yang sama, contohnya, klik (clique).
- 12. g. Membership Group & Reference Group Membership group merupakan suatu kelompok di mana setiap orang secara fisik menjadi anggota kelompok tersebut. Reference group ialah kelompok-kelompok sosial yang menjadi acuan bagi seseorang (bukan anggota kelompok tersebut) untuk membentuk pribadi dan perilakunya. Robert K. Merton dengan menyebut beberapa hasil karya Harold H. Kelley, Shibutani, dan Ralph H.Turner mengemukakan adanya dua tipe umum reference group yakni tipe normatif, yang menentukan dasar-dasar bagi kepribadian seseorang dan tipe perbandingan, yang merupakan pegangan bagi individu di dalam menilai kepribadiannya.
- 13. Kelompok okupasional adalah kelompok yang muncul karena semakin memudarnya fungsi kekerabatan, di mana kelompok ini timbul karena anggotanya memiliki pekerjaan yang sejenis. Contohnya, kelompok profesi, seperti asosiasi sarjana farmasi, ikatan dokter indonesia, dan lain-lain. Okupasional diambil dari kata okupasi yang berarti menempati tempat atau objek kosong yang tidak mempunyai penguasa, dalam hal ini dicontohkan kelompok tersebut adalah orang-orang yang dapat memonopoli suatu teknologi tertentu yang mempunyai patokan dan aturan tertentu seperti halnya etika profesi, sedangkan volonter adalah orang yang mempunyai kepentingan yang sama, namun tidak mendapat perhatian dari masyarakat. Kelompok ini dapat memenuhi kepentingankepentingan anggotanya secara individual, tanpa mengganggu kepentingan masyarakat secara umum. Terjadinya kelompok volunter karena beberapa hal antara lain: 1) kebutuhan sandang dan pangan 2) kebutuhan keselamatan jiwa dan raga 3) kebutuhan akan harga diri 4) kebutuhan untuk dapat mengembangkan potensi diri 5) kebutuhan akan kasih sayang h.
