Support bilingual children in maintaining their languages. Instruction in the second native language (other than Icelandic) for bilingual children has been offered in Iceland since 1994. Numerous languages have been offered over the years, including Russian, English, Spanish, Italian, Lithuanian, Nederlands, Thai and Japanese.
