This document discusses open data in the field of building environment. It provides examples of open climate, weather and solar position data that can be used to evaluate building thermal loads and solar PV generation. It also discusses open GIS data on building attributes and open statistical data on housing, residents and winter mortality. While some government data is open, other potentially useful datasets like high-resolution climate monitoring data and building energy use data are not fully open due to confidentiality agreements. The document argues the importance of incorporating open data principles from the beginning when designing new datasets.

Research on a Solution of Fuel Poverty in Cold Climate RegionTaro Mori
?
Households in “Fuel Poverty” is defined as which needs to spend more than 10% of its income on all fuel use and to heat its home to an adequate standard of warmth. Fuel Poverty is caused by three factors: low income, high fuel price and poor energy efficiency of a home. In cold climate region, people need to use heating to keep warm, but households in Fuel Poverty cannot afford to heat their house adequately. In this research, we investigated Fuel Poverty in cold climate region by using questionnaire and statistics and propose a solution of Fuel Poverty.
