About Boilers
 Three super critical once through, drum less boilers with capacity 2550 TPH, pressure 257kg/cm2

 One Auxiliary boiler with 72 TPH capacity Bi-drum LDO fired boiler with pressure 19kg/cm2
and
temperature 250°C
KSTPP is a 2400MW supercritical thermal power plant that is being developed by NTPC, at Kudgi
village in Bijapur District of Karnataka. Doosan has been awarded the contract for supplying three
supercritical coal-fired boilers. DPSI is the holding company of Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction
Co. Ltd. Korea
Activities gone through
 Boiler light up, Steam blowing, Turbine rolling & Synchronisation, boiler under full load operation
Roles & Responsibilities
 Working as CCR operator of boiler & have experience in operating the boiler
 Worked as CCR operator in major events like Boiler light up, Steam blowing, Turbine rolling &
synchronisation, Bypass operation, Mill operation, Full load operation up to 806MW
 Have experience in operating from SIEMENS & YOKOGAWA DCS.
 Involved in the commissioning and operation of boiler and its accessories.
 Inspections of boiler parts for any punch points or any abnormalities.
 Experience in Line up of all the equipment in boiler for starting the system.
 Responsible for start-up and shut down operation of boiler.
 Follow up with site engineers of contractors/sub-contractor to ensure that work is being carried out
as per design drawings, specifications & meeting planned dates in schedule.
 Inspection of pipelines and instruments as per P&I drawing.
 Carrying out Commissioning activities like Motor solo test, No load test and Load test for various
rotating equipment’s like fans and pumps
 Experience in Loesche Coal mill operation
 Knowledge in reading of drawing like P&ID,SFD, FCD, IO list, SLD, Logic diagram.
