An idea map or mind map is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks or other items linked to and arranged around a central key word or idea. It is used to generate, visualize, structure and classify ideas, and as an aid to studying, organizing information, solving problems, making decisions and writing. An idea map provides a brainstorming tool and way to visually stimulate and organize thoughts for designers and others. To create an idea map, determine a central topic, write it in the center and circle it, then write related ideas branching out and connect them with lines as more ideas emerge.

Add new branches for new ideas. Repeat until all ideas are listed. When finished, review the connections and try to relate and organize your ideas TIPS No editing or censorship allowed. Keep your ideas flowing. If you get stuck, walk away and come back or sleep on it. Add more paper if needed. Pictures are worth a 1000 words. Colors connect ideas.
