designated time of start of the match. If the team is still incomplete at the end of the 5-
minute grace period, then the team will lose the match by default.
10. chess
1) Must be a student and enrolled in JCPMHS for the School Year
2023 2024.
2) Must be knowledgeable in the game Chess.
3) All players MUST register.
4) Two players per grade level (2 male 2 female).
5) Must bring two chess board/mat per grade level.
6) Displaying unsportsmanship behavior will lead to
disqualification.
7) The knockout system is use.
8) Coaches must remain seated in the designated chairs
provided.
9) No coaching during the game.
12. volleyball
General Rules:
Teams must have at least 6 players, maximum of 10 players.
The tournament will be single elimination. Due to limited court
space and many teams registered, there will be no consolation
games.
A match consists of winning two out of three games using the rally
scoring system.
A game is won when a team scores 15 points and is ahead by at
least two points. No game shall exceed 19 points. If two teams are
tied at 18, the next point wins.
Player may not hit the ball twice in succession.
Referees will be present to settle disputes. All rulings by
tournament referees are final.
13. volleyball
Starting the Game:
The winner of the coin toss has the choice of service or side of court.
The team not serving first in the game shall serve first in the second game.
Service for the third game will be determined by a coin toss.
Teams change courts after each game.
The serving area is the entire area behind the end line between the sidelines
and as deep as the court area allows.
Service may be underhand or overhand.
Players have 8 seconds to serve the ball.
Players are required to serve in order of the position from which they start the
game.
Note: The game schedule will be posted 2 days prior to the start of the
elimination game.
15. sepak
Games of Sepak Takraw shall be played by two teams of three players.
Games should be played on a court that fits the regulation size and markings
as set out with an official Sepak Takraw ball.
The team to serve first is decided by a coin toss before the match commences.
Play begins when the server is thrown the ball by a teammate and must then
kick the ball over the net whilst keeping one foot in the service circle.
Players may only touch the ball with their feet, head, knees, and chest.
Touching the ball with the hand or any other part of the body can result in a
fault and a point for the opposition.
Each team is allowed a maximum of three touches of the ball to return it back
over the net without letting it touch the ground.
Failure to return the ball over the net before it hits the ground results in a point
to the opposition.
Points are always scored in Sepak Takraw by the opposition faulting, and they
can do this in a few ways (see above).
16. sepak
The first team to reach 21 points wins a set. The first team to win
two sets is declared the winner.
A 3-minute default rule shall be enforced.
All players MUST register. Only players name will be accepted.
If a team doesn't win 2 sets in a row, the third set, called the
"Tie-break," only has 15 points.
Substitution can only be made once during any match/set
No protest will be entertained regarding judgement calls of the
referee. Only technicalities of the game may be protest.
A team shall comprise of 3 regular and 1 alternate.
After the match, players and coaches are required to shake
hands of the opponent and officials.
18. Table tennis
GENERAL INFORMATION
A. All Intramural participants MUST have identification to play:
Valid JCPJRMHS Student ID.
B. All games will be played on GRADE-10 SPS CLASSROOM. All Players are expected to
report and check in at least 5 minutes before game time.
C. Each team will be given entry form. all players listed on the entry form will be the ones to
play for their teams (switching of players is not allowed)
GAME BASICS
1. Each participating team shall have 4 players composing of 2 boys and 2 girls
2. Tournament format will be single elimination
3 There will be a draw before the game proper start to determine which team will become the
bye for each bracket
4. Games are self-officiated. A supervisor will be present to settle any rule discrepancies.
5. The supervisor/officials reserves the right to enforce the replaying of a point.
6.The supervisor will update the bracket every end of a game accordingly.
19. Table tennis
EQUIPMENT
1. Each team should provide atleast 1 paddle/table tennis racket to play.
GAME RULES
1. Contests will consist of a 6 participating team (Grade 7,8,9,10,11,12)
2. Each game will be played to 11 points and the winner must win by two sets.
3. Rally scoring will be used, meaning a point will be awarded after each rally.
4. A point will be awarded as long as the ball makes contact with any part of the table, except for the
sides.
5. A coin toss will determine who gets to serve first. Players will alternate serving every 2 points.
6. If the serve hits and go over the net, play will be stopped and the serve will be retried. If the serve hits
the net and fails to go over it, the non-serving player will be awarded a point.
7. Serves must bounce on the serving players side of the table before reaching the other players side
of the table. The ball must bounce on the other side of the table before the player receiving the serve
can hit the ball.

Intramural policies and unsportsmanlike conduct***
