- 2. Jing is an amazing tool that allows you to teach to an individual or those working at their own pace. It is great for small group instruction, such as my Target group of students. I can Jing the mini- lesson they may have missed into a link. They can then retrieve it from my blog at their own pace. One more way to use this in class is to send a Jing link to a student who has missed class or you can save it for them when they return. They will not feel as though theyve missed a thing, because they have JING! Another great benefit about Jing is that it allows the students to view and listen to the Jing link over and over again. Talk about differentiation, this really fits into teaching with differentiation. You can make the same lesson for those who may need you to go at a slower pace and you can make another one for those who are on a faster paced track. As I said, this is an amazing tool!
- 3. Jing can be used by technology coaches in technology workshops. It always seems difficult to pick a day and time that everyone can meet for a technology workshop. Jing will allow you to choose the best day for most people, then you can Jing your workshop into a link so that the ones who couldnt make it can use the link to watch what they missed. Those who did come, could still use the link for a review. Think about all the times you wish you could see a technology specialist go through a procedure ONE more time. Jing is the way to go, when teaching new technology to others!
- 4. Bless her heart! Poor Mom who lives in Michigan calls with a question about how to save her photos from an email to a folder. She may even want to copy and paste something but is having trouble. Jing would be an awesome way to assist her with troublesome applications. If I could be there, I could teach her in a flash but Jing allows me to show her what I would do in person. It also allows her to save the link for the next time she needs to do this same operation. Thank goodness for Jing!
