- 2. Introduction What is lawbore? Lawbore is the City Law School’s legal platform. It was created in 2002 with the aim of making law research easier for students and promote further reading by getting pupils excited to explore the world of law. What does it offer? It offers a range of areas such as Learnmore, City Hub, the Blog, Topic Guides, News and Calendar of Events
- 3. What do we find particularly exciting about lawbore? LEARNMORE! Learnmore was created for law students in order to help them acquire important skills through a range of online tutorials, videos and learning materials.
- 4. Why Learnmore? It is functional! Easy to use, accessible, FAST! It is not boring! Colourful, amusing (with that head!)
- 5. LEARNMORE AREAS Newbies Moots Exams Writing LEARNMORE Research Careers
- 6. Our favourite part! THE NEWBIES! Being first year students this is our favourite part! We think it offers psychological support to all first year students by providing answers to all crucial questions a student might have! Most of all, it calms new students with tips and information! It helps students familiarize with law, providing the skills needed in every new law student’s life! For example, getting the best out of lectures helps every newbie since it describes the steps a student should take before, during and after attending a lecture. The Newbies section gives an introduction to the way university works and teaches students about how to use legal resources as well as use online platforms!
- 7. Do you think mooting is tough? Visit the learnmore site and then come back to us! Everything that relates to mooting is there! The section on mooting includes what mooting actually is as well as videos and FAQs for people who learn differently or want to get quick information!
- 8. The big fear!!! EXAMS! Exams create anxiety to most students! Although exams require hard work, the inclusion of such a section in learnmore is helpful in providing students with tips to make exams easier in order to achieve higher grades! For example, it gives advice such as: 1) Correct Planning, 2) Get Healthy! This is advice profoundly plain but when it comes to exams, we all need something to remind us these important points! AND THIS IS LEARNMORE!
- 9. What should be improved! Search Machine; for advanced research this could be useful. It could make the process quicker! For example, if a student does not remember where specific information is, he/she can type a phrase and find information on that topic easier! Having more FAQs section so that one does not have to access a blog and wait for response, if in hurry!
