operazioni di pace dellONU: MINURSO (Sahara
Occidentale), UNMIBH-IPTF (Bosnia-Erzegovina),
UNTSO (Israele), UNIFIL (Libano), UNIKOM (Iraq-
Kuwait), UNMOGIP (India-Pakistan), MINUGUA
(Verifica dei diritti umani in Guatemala), UNMIK
(Kosovo), MONUC (Repubblica Democratica del
Congo), UNMEE (Etiopia-Eritrea). Inoltre, lItalia
partecipa alle operazioni della NATO in Bosnia-
Erzegovina (SFOR) sotto legida dellONU e alla
KFOR (Kosovo). Nel 1997 ha guidato la Forza
Multinazionale di Protezione in Albania, anchessa
posta sotto legida dellONU, contribuendovi con il
contingente pi湛 numeroso. Inoltre, lItalia ha
aderito agli Stand-by arrangements,
impegnandosi cos狸 a rendere disponibili allONU
un certo numero di unit militari in caso di
