The psychology program at Coastal Carolina University enrolls approximately 300 majors and offers both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees. Students can choose from around 40 hours of core curriculum courses and 34 hours of specialized psychology courses. The program provides students with a solid foundation in research methods, statistics, and the major content areas of psychology. Psychology majors often pursue careers in mental health services, social services, teaching, research, counseling, and consulting, as well as graduate degrees. The department also supports a Psychology Club and Psi Chi honor society chapter for students.
