outcomes measurement organization founded by A. Thomas McClellan, Ph.D., world-renowned substance abuse
researcher, University of Pennsylvania. Responsibilities: hiring/supervision of staff, purchase of equipment, supplies
and services. Managed outcomes studies:; maintained liaison with corporate clients; supervised data collection, data
entry and report production; fiscal management. For MPS / Deltametrics (for profit arm), served as Director,
Training Division. Managed training design and delivery of all data collection instruments. Audiences included
counseling / research staff of corporate clients and treatment providers nationwide and internal staff. Consulted to
State Agencies on the design and delivery of skill-based training on the Addiction Severity Index (ASI) for substance
abuse staff. Designed and implemented an individualized Quality Assurance (QA) audit of interviewer skills used in
measuring proficiency with various interviewing tools. Managed toll-free Information line that provided printed
materials and technical assistance on the use of standardized instruments and outcomes measurements. Wrote and
was awarded $750,000 Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grant designed to conduct a nationwide training
study.

Within the Research Division, managed the marketing and implementation of employee wellness surveys,
nationwide; managed a national training program related to the use of a clinical / research instrument. As Manager,
Nationwide Service, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Division, developed contractual agreements with mental
health and substance abuse providers for national EAP accounts; provided on-line consultation services to employers,
employees and practitioners.
1982  1986 Program Management and Training
For Family Centered Resource Project, Albright College, Reading, PA, managed the marketing, public relations and
service delivery of a national training project operated by the Psychology Department; recruited training sites;
designed and conducted training events. For National Diabetes Research Interchange, Philadelphia, PA, managed
administrative and public relations activities; developed proposals; hired and supervised staff; coordinated all
activities for an international research conference. Published research conference proceedings. (The Director of this
organization, Ms. Lee Ducat, founded the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.)
1977  1982 Staff Consultant, National Research Studies
At University Research Corporation, Washington, DC, conducted a two-year assessment study in the financing of
alcoholism services at the federal and state levels. Served as liaison to four State Agencies and 24 community
programs. Designed and conducted data collection strategies and report findings. Also, principal designer and writer
of a training course for professionals and paraprofessionals who work with the elderly, developed for nationwide
distribution. At Booz . Allen & Hamilton, Inc., Washington, DC, served as key member on a 15-month national
study evaluating funding sources for alcoholism treatment. Designed and conducted data collection and analysis
strategies. Developed individual funding prognoses for sample projects.
