The author found their first cram school in elementary school too difficult to understand and focused on memorization, which demotivated them from attending class. Their experience improved in junior high school with good grades at school and interesting, relaxing classes at a cram school taught by foreign teachers. During senior high school, the author benefited from a study tour in Cambridge that exposed them to culture and using English for communication, and felt a sense of achievement in both grammar and speaking at their cram school.
