During a 35-day study tour from July to August 2009, the author spent 3 days in France cooking escargots and 4 weeks in London participating in an English language academic program. While in London, the author experienced many firsts such as taking the Eurostar train, having foreign roommates, riding the tube and double-decker buses, enjoying pastries and scones, sandwiches, and the opera Les Miserables. Some of the places visited included Harrods department store, the London Eye, Cambridge, and St. Paul's Cathedral.
Swimmy was the only fish to escape after a tuna fish ate all of his schoolmates. As he swam alone, feeling sad and lonely, he encountered many wondrous sea creatures that cheered him up. Later, he discovered a new school of fish like his own and taught them to swim together closely, acting like one large fish to protect themselves from predators.
