मन में यह भाव लिए जब भगवान गिर गुरु के दरबार में पहुँचे तो उनकी हैरानी की सीमा ना रही| वह अपनी सुध-बुध खो बैठे| वह पत्थर की मूर्ति बनकर कुछ समय वही खड़े रहे| उन्होंने देखा कि संगत बैठी है कीर्तन भी चल रहा है| एक चतुर्भुज स्याम मूर्ति चक्कर सिंघासन के ऊपर सुशोभित है| यह सब देखकर अपनी चेतना को कायम करते हुआ उसने गुरु के चरणों में डन्डवत होकर माथा टेका जब उठकर देखा गुरु जी अपने गुरु स्वरुप में दर्शन दे रहे हैं| भगत भगवान यह कौतक देखकर बहुत प्रभावित हुए और कहने लगे कि महाराज! मुझे अपना सिख बनाकर उपदेश दो|
