This document discusses plans to replace an aging facility at Sebastian Inlet State Park with a new multi-story building to better serve park patrons. The design aims to provide a sturdy yet inviting structure that establishes a visual connection from over the dunes to the beach. The building's program incorporates a diversity of activities under one roof. Naturally stained wood is used for pedestrian areas to offset the solid nature of split face walls.

Challenging behavior in young children is prevalent, impacting 10-30% of those under age 5. Such behavior includes aggression, noncompliance, self-injury and can interfere with learning and social engagement. Over time, children who exhibit challenging behaviors face higher risks of poor academic and social outcomes including expulsion, peer rejection, and special education placement. Additionally, teachers report that challenging student behaviors negatively impact their job satisfaction and likelihood of remaining in the profession. Despite the impacts, few children exhibiting early problem behaviors receive intervention services.

This document discusses how moving to the cloud can reduce costs and increase profits for businesses. It notes that cloud adoption can cut IT costs and manpower needs while giving businesses more control. Migrating to the cloud also allows companies to quickly go to market with new offerings. The document provides details on various cloud consulting and startup packages available from AWS, Microsoft, Google, and Rackspace to help businesses transform to the cloud. It also outlines additional cloud-based products and services that can benefit companies for $150-249 per month.
This document summarizes a project on privacy-preserving detection of sensitive data exposure. The project proposes a data leak detection system that can be outsourced to a semi-honest detection environment without exposing the sensitive data. It uses secure hash algorithms like SHA to generate short, hard-to-reverse digests of the sensitive data and only discloses a small amount of digest information to the data leak detection provider. This approach provides strong privacy guarantees while still enabling accurate detection of leaked data.
This thesis provides a methodology for developers to design winch and kite control systems for kite power systems. A kite power system prototype was developed and tested from 2010-2012, inspiring this work. A quasi-static system model was used for optimization, then a dynamic model was developed and verified against measurement data. An improved flight planner and controllers were developed and tested using the dynamic model with added wind shear and turbulence models. The thesis identifies total efficiency and cost factor as key performance metrics and shows over 50% total efficiency is possible. It also introduces crest factors to optimize energy harvesting and demonstrates factors of 1.2 for force and 1.5 for power. A real-time simulation model is presented for control development.
The poem "The Solitary Reaper" describes William Wordsworth witnessing a solitary Highland girl reaping wheat alone in a field and singing a melancholy song so beautiful that its sound filled the surrounding valley. Struck by the power and sadness of her unknown song, Wordsworth compares it favorably to the music of nightingales and cuckoos yet is left wondering at its meaning as he walks away still hearing the music in his heart.
Reality television shows construct situations for entertainment purposes rather than presenting everyday life as it is. While initially focusing on depicting real life, most reality shows now place participants in highly engineered scenarios that are intentionally staged. One such show, The Only Way is Essex, bases its episodes on the participants' real situations but acknowledges in its opening that some aspects have been set up for viewers. It uses various camera angles and edits arguments and relationships dramatically for entertainment value rather than straightforward reality portrayal. The show aims to appeal especially to young female viewers by displaying popular participants in relatable social settings like clubs.
This document describes an "Invisible Eye" advanced security system that uses a single camera rather than multiple cameras. It consists of sensors to detect intrusion, a camera mounted on a stepper motor that can slew and take pictures upon alert, and a keypad interface. The system sends SMS alerts to the owner and police if intrusion is detected. It provides security at low cost by avoiding multiple cameras and reviewing hours of empty footage. Potential applications include home, office, and bank security.
