- 1. Andy The Aqua Bunny Andy the Aqua Bunny In a beachside town there was a small pet shop by the sea. In the window of the shop there was one single bunny left inside a metal, golden coloured cage. He was really sad because all the other bunnies in the pet shop laughed at him because his ears were very long with strange webbed skin when you lifted them. Each day, people would come to the shop and buy a bunny until he was the only bunny left. Nobody wanted him and he felt very lonely. Then one day, a little girl named Jessie was passing the pet shop with her family on the way to the beach. She looked in the window and felt sorry for the sad bunny with the funny ears. She wanted to buy him and asked her parents. They said, “After we walk on the beach we will come back and see him sweetheart”. She even said she would give all her pocket money to look after him. Jessie couldn't wait to get back to the shop and was so happy to see the poor bunny still sitting in the window. When Jessie hugged the bunny, and took him home she decided to call him Andy. Andy was so happy to belong to Jessie and stayed by her side all day. The next weekend the little girl and her family wanted to go to the beach but the little girl wanted to take her bunny to the beach because she thought he wouldn’t be safe alone. Jessie thought Andy would like to go on her surf board with her so she took him along for a ride. Sadly Andy accidently fell in the water and Jessie started crying because she thought he had drowned. She looked around for what seemed like ages, when all of a sudden, Andy popped up out of the water. She couldn't believe it when he started swimming towards her. His ears were like fish fins and his little legs were kicking so hard that he swam quite quickly. Jessie hugged Andy’s wet little body and took him ashore. From that day, every time Jessie went to the beach Andy went too and became such a great swimmer that Jessie decided to call him her Aqua Bunny.
- 2. Andy The Aqua Bunny When Jessie went to school, Andy got very bored and wished he had a friend to play with. There were no other bunnies around and they would probably laugh at his funny ears anyway. One day, Andy decided to go to the beach by himself. He hopped across the sand and dived in to the cool water. While he was diving under the waves he saw a dolphin caught up in a net. He knew he had to save him. He swam over and chewed through the net with his strong, white, bunny teeth. The dolphin was very grateful and played with Andy in the surf. ‘What's your name?’ Andy asked the dolphin. ‘I’m Donald’, replied the dolphin, ‘Thank you so much for saving me’. Donald and Andy became very good friends and played in the sea every day. Jessie would play with them too. They all were best friends and played happily ever after. By Olivia Hewett 3/4C
