Aalok is a member of APMs Thames Valley Regional Network and also speaks to members of APMs PMO Interest Network, which aims to facilitate collaboration and learning, offer unbiased advice and guidance.
Tonight, Aalok planned to discuss the importance of a PMO within project-based organisations, the different types of PMO and their key elements, PMO governance and centres of excellence.
PMOs within an organisation can be centralised, hub and spoke with a central PMO with satellite PMOs globally, or embedded within projects. The appropriate structure will be determined by the specific business needs of the organisation. The PMO sits above PM delivery and the supply chain delivery teams.

Narrative of photoshop
- 1. The first thing I did to create my image was start with a blank, new, transparent image on Photoshop. Then I cut out the image of the White House and dragged it to my new transparent background. It took a few tries to get the right size. Then, I cut out the picture of President Obama and dragged him to the new image, placing him behind the White House by rearranging the layers. After that, I created the thought bubble/American flag, using a section of the flag picture and adding a filter. I cut out another more famous picture of President Obama and placed it inside the thought bubble. At first, I left the thought bubble on top of the image of him, to erase the parts of his shoulders that were sticking out so he fit in the circle properly. After I was finished, I dragged the layer of the picture in front of the thought bubble. Once the pictures were in place, I added text and drew dialog bubbles around it so the viewer would realize it was a conversation.
