Reggie was a medaka fish egg named by his owner Michael. Over the course of 8 days, Reggie developed from a single cell embryo to hatching from his egg. Each day, Michael observed and documented new structures forming in Reggie, including a heart beat on day 2, fins and other organs by day 3, and eyes by day 4. By day 6 Reggie had fully formed pectoral fins. On the final day, Reggie hatched in stage 36 and was placed in a community fish tank with other medaka fish to live his life.
