- 2. HOW TO SURVAY A MADAKA EGG When taking care of our medaka egg we had to make sure we gave it fresh water every day We would look at it under the microscope and make sure the fish had the heart beat and we would take pictures of the egg and find what stage it was in
- 3. JOEY’S FIRST DAY This was the first day that we could look at Joey under a microscope he is just a small medaka egg he is at stage 18 and has been alive for 26 hours
- 4. DAY 2 Joeys second day he was at stage 23 he was starting developed a very faint heart beat we could barly see it and the heart is not visible in the picture when the egg is at stage 23 it has been alive for about 46 hours
- 5. DAY 3 Joey is now in stage 29 his retinas are clearly seen, the pectoral fin appears to look thick and short you can see the heart in the picture
- 6. DAY 4 Joey is in stage 30 the bladder is small, but not visible in the angle of our picture. His heart is now starting to develop chambers his tail reaches around to his eye
- 7. DAY 5 My urinary blatter is startng to show a green tint my tail is begining to develop and my eyes are very dark I think this mean iv reached stage 31
- 8. DAY 6 Its my 6 day I feel so close to hatching I think im at stage 33 and my internal organs are starting to develop my lower jaw is starting to form and my pectrial fin is moving more
- 9. DAY 7 Today is my seventh day and i know i will hatch tomorrow i am in my 35th stage my organs are almost completly develope i can move much more now this is my last stage after this im a free fish
- 10. DAY 8 AND IM FREE Today was my eight day and im hatch free to swim around as much as i please unforunatly my parents had a picture of me but dont know where its at im hatched now so this means im at stage 36 i dont eat to much, just some protozoa for about the first 7 days of being hatched, they for the next 2 weeks i like newly hatched brine shrimp im just a little guy so ill only gow to about 15 millimeters
