Editor's Notes

• #5: Cataingan National High School was established in 1963. It was previously named Cataingan High School before its nationalization on October 25, 1983, Known for its pursuit on excellence and innovation, the school reaches an approximate of four thousand students in enrollment from both senior and junior high school. Varied specialized curricula are offered to cater students’ diversity and to accommodate the expectations of the changing times. The administration, the teaching and non-teaching staff aims to continually progress in the innovation of the teaching methodology and the overall management of the school for the students.
• #7: Accountancy Business and Management by the way was implemented in Cataingan National High School in 2016.
• #8: family as we call it in ABM, the pioneer group of JPIA (JUNIOR PHILIPPINE INSTITUTE OF ACCOUNTANT) had easily established a strong tie with their peers while learning from different training programs that they participated.
• #9: During King Fisher ABM CUP 2021 and FeDeX International Contest 2021 we won 10th place
• #10: However, just like any other stories, our ABM story has also its conflict. The major of them all is the disruption of classes due to COVID-19 pandemic. The sudden change in instructional delivery has greatly affected the learning experiences of our ABM students. The once lively classroom has turned into an empty and lonely building. (Note to self with feelings).
• #11: The great turn around in the instructional delivery left students as well as teachers to minimum access to conducive learning experiences. The condition restricted the students to a more engaging learning environment in the classroom and limited opportunities for skills development. We adopt a blended learning modalities a limited face to face class with a maximum of 5 students with their parent consent in our school accounting laboratory and video lesson.
• #12: The shift in instruction also affected the enrolment of ABM. Since the implementation of ABM on 2016, a drastic decline on the number of enrollments has been noted during the year when pandemic occurred. The data shows that there is a 50% decrease in the enrolment . This alarming condition prompted the ABM teachers to dig deeper on the issue and think of possible solutions that may bring back the usual number which ended up to doing an innovation. An innovation that can maximize students’ potentials while providing them with better opportunities to be an Accounting enthusiast .
• #13: Thus, the birth of Accounting Laboratory under the initiative of Mr. Jazer B. Leuterio. The mission of the Accounting Laboratory is to provide assistance to students to strengthen their understanding of foundational accounting concepts. To fulfill this mission, the Accounting Lab provides in-person and remote tutoring to students who voluntarily seek the services. That’s when the School Accounting Laboratory born.

• #16: The challenges brought by pandemic did not stop the team from doing more. Learning continued amidst pandemic. The deepening of students’ skills was made more productive thru SCHHOL ACCOUNTING LABORATORY as they were given opportunities to explore and enhance their accounting skills. • #17: Students are further provided with materials to improve lifelong skills and provide better learning experiences like making journal, ledgers and financial reports. The teachers make sure that the students are protected.

• #19: Helping their parents in making their monthly Inventory for their family business and school-related activities are platforms which provide students with real-life applications of prerequisite skills.

• #26: Who would imagine that students like them are capable of producing such output. We still have so much to show you, but due to limited time. Those are just few samples of our outputs in the ABM
• #27: Participate more to school-related activities and ABM competitions that would challenge students’ thinking skills. And more exposure to real life learning experiences by advocating the group outside of Cataingan if time allows (slide on expand coverage)
