She was surprised by the capabilities of tools within the Web 2.0 framework and plans to have students complete exercises online rather than printing them. The SWWE Regional Network were very pleased to welcome Aalok Sonawala, Head of PMO, National Programmes, Rider Levett Bucknall on 26 February, to BAWA for our first face to face event of 2025. Aalok is a member of APM’s Thames Valley Regional Network and also speaks to members of APM’s PMO Interest Network, which aims to facilitate collaboration and learning, offer unbiased advice and guidance.
Tonight, Aalok planned to discuss the importance of a PMO within project-based organisations, the different types of PMO and their key elements, PMO governance and centres of excellence.
PMO’s within an organisation can be centralised, hub and spoke with a central PMO with satellite PMOs globally, or embedded within projects. The appropriate structure will be determined by the specific business needs of the organisation. The PMO sits above PM delivery and the supply chain delivery teams.

- 2. Luis G. - I like edmodo for the fact you get to hand in assignments faster, but the thing i don't like is that sometimes i forget to go on edmodo and check for assignments. The video review is very helpful because you get to fix what ever is wrong with the paper without the professor being there.
- 3. Damian S. - I think having a class web site has been very useful because it keeps you up to date with all the class assignments.
- 4. Alexis D. - Although I should be checking my edmodo account more often, it is actually very helpful because its basically looks like facebook for school. It lists assignments, tells you if they're late or not, and shows you your grades. I think it is a very great tool for students and teachers alike. It gives a more comfortable feel to the learning experience.
