ACTIVITY CONTENT TEACHING & LEARNING STRATEGY NOTES Set Induction (5 minutes) 1.Running dictation. 1.Teacher gives a sentence to each group of three. 2.Pupil A reads the sentence and whispers to pupil B. Pupil B will tell to pupil C. Pupils C will write the sentence in a paper. 3.Teacher lets the pupils to read the sentence and stresses on possessive pronouns. Sentences 1.It is Mimis book. It is hers. 2. It is Johns ball. It is his. 3.These are the girls dolls. They are theirs. Presentation (10 munites) 1..Reading sentences. 1.Teacher introduces the possessive pronouns to the pupils. 2.Pupils read the sentences on the board.. 3.Teacher explains on how to replace the possessive adjectives or nouns to possessive pronouns. 4.Pupils listen to the teachers explanation attentively. Textbook Possessive Pronouns his hers its mine yours ours theirs Practice (20 minutes) 1.Formation of possessive pronouns. 2.Answer simple questions. 1.Teacher writes a question on the board. 2.Pupils write the answer by changing the possessive adjective to possessive pronouns correctly. Question Are these her dolls? Answer Yes, they are hers. Production (20 minutes) 1.Fill in the blanks. 1.Teacher writes some sentences on the board. 2.Pupils fill in the blanks with correct possessive pronouns. 3.All the pupils read the sentences loudly.
